Message from the Chapter Basileus
Good day to you my friend, and welcome to our site. We are the Legendary women of Lambda Gamma Sigma Pomona Alumnae chapter LEADing with Grace & Style since May 15, 2010. Please take your time and explore our website to learn more about how we collectively strive to impact our community through our national programs, local projects and strategic partnerships.
The ladies of Lambda Gamma Sigma are committed to building upon our slogan “Greater Service, Greater Progress”, while pouring into the lives of women and children of the Pomona Valley areas for the next 100 years.
In keeping with the vision of our leadership, we are a chapter that is G.R.E.A.T.E.R. aligned with a common vision to be Gifted, Responsive, Enthusiastic, Approachable, Talented, Effective, and Respectful.
Being a member of this illustrious organization for 27 years brings me nothing but joy to do my part in honoring my founders by keeping the legacy alive.

SISTERHOOD
From seven young educators, Sigma Gamma Rho has become an international service organization comprised of women from every profession. Sigma Gamma Rho offers its members opportunities to develop their unique talents through leadership training and involvement in sorority activities. These activities provide an atmosphere where friendship and professional contacts are developed leading to a bond that lasts a lifetime.
SCHOLARSHIP
Sigma Gamma Rho was founded on the precept of education and continues to promote and encourage high scholastic attainment. Alumnae chapters conduct programs designed to foster academic excellence and award thousands of dollars in scholarships each year to local high school and college students, as well as undergraduate members.
SERVICE
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. provides leadership, service and resources toward removing barriers and inequalities so that all people may develop their potential and exercise full citizenship. In its quest to expand its area of service, Sigma Gamma Rho actively participates in the sponsoring of national and international programs designed for the improved welfare of all people.
